Youth Track

This program is designed to introduce events offered in a track program.  It’s not all about running!  Participants will receive instruction and have an opportunity to take part in a track meet.

For Grades 3^rd – 6^th

Starts Monday, April 14^th

Practice Dates:  April 14^th, April 17^th, April 21^st, April 22^nd, April 28^th,

May 1^st, May 6^th, May 13^th. 

Practice:  6:00-7:00pm at NDSCS Frank Vertin Field

Fee:  $20

Parent volunteers are needed to help supervise athlete's during practice.  Please call Wahpeton Parks & Recreation if you would willing to volunteer.

Track Meets

Hershey’s Track Meet 

Thursday, May 8^th – 4:00pm – NDSCS Frank Vertin Field

Open to North Dakota Residents

Registration forms are available at Wahpeton Parks and Recreation office

Registration deadline is Friday, May 2^nd

Open to ages 9 – 14 (Age as of December 31, 2008)

1^st and 2^nd place winners advance to the State Hershey’s Track Meet in Valley City, June 21^st.

Entry Fee:  $3 per participant

Optimist Club Twin Town Track Meet

Thursday, May 15^th – 4:00pm – NDSCS Frank Vertin Field

Registration forms are available at Wahpeton Parks and Recreation and at the schools.

Registration deadline is Friday, May 9^th

Open to all girls and boys in kindergarten through sixth grade.

K – 2^nd grade are invited to track practice May 13^th at 6:00pm at NDSCS Track.

Entry Fee: $2 per participant

Volunteers are needed to help at the track meets with timing, throwing, ribbons, etc.  Please contact Wahpeton Parks and Recreation if you would like to help.
