Youth Track

This program is designed to introduce events offered in a track program.  It’s not all about running!  Participants will receive instruction and have an opportunity to take part in a track meet.

FEE:  $20

For Grades 3^rd – 6^th

Parent volunteers are needed.  Please call Wahpeton Parks & Recreation if you would willing to volunteer.

Track Meets

Optimist Club Twin Town Track Meet

Thursday, May 13^th – 4:30pm – Owen and Dee Jensen Track at NDSCS.

Rain-out date is Tuesday, May 18th.

Registration forms are available at Wahpeton Parks and Recreation and at the schools.

Registration deadline is Thursday, May 6^th at 5:00 PM.

Open to all girls and boys in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Entry Fee: $5 per participant

Hershey’s Track Meet 

Thursday, May 20th – 4:30pm – Owen and Dee Jensen Track at NDSCS.

Rain-out date is Tuesday, May 25th.

Open to North Dakota Residents only.

Registration forms are available at Wahpeton Parks and Recreation office

Registration deadline is Thursday, May 13th at 5:00 PM.

Open to ages 9 – 14 (Age as of December 31, 2010)

1^st and 2^nd place winners advance to the State Hershey’s Track Meet in  Rugby, ND, June 19, 2010.

Entry Fee:  $5 per participant

Volunteers are needed to help at the track meets with timing, throwing, ribbons, etc.  Please contact Wahpeton Parks and Recreation if you would like to help.
